Career Based Intervention

What is CBI?

The Career Based Intervention at the Knox County Career Center is designed for sophomore students who are pre-vocational and seeking a new opportunity in school. Students take their core academic classes, Air Force Junior ROTC, and spend the remainder of their day in various vocational labs.

Each CBI student will have the opportunity to spend seven to eight weeks in four different vocational labs of their choice. Students will learn basic safety procedures and equipment operation in order to gain an understanding of that specific lab before deciding which lab to apply for during their junior/senior year.CBI Classroom

CBI students will take four state-aligned, core academic classes (Social Studies, English, Science, and Math). Students in CBI receive extra academic support as needed.
